About Imprintmytravel

Welcome to my page! I’m glad you’re here!

My name is Lisa, I’m 40 years old and I live and work in beautiful Vienna. Until 2017 I worked in the middle management of a large automotive company in marketing, now I earn my money as a travel blogger, photographer, author* and with various projects, such as my own co-working space in Vienna, animal photography workshops, my online photo course and photo trips all over the world.

I lived in Mexico for 1 year, traveled solo through New Zealand & Australia and overlanded in Southern Africa. I love adventure and active travel, exciting challenges, epic landscapes and (almost) all animals. My favorite place is the wild Patagonia, which enchants me again and again with its rough landscape and spectacular panoramas.

After 8 visits to the most beautiful end of the world, I can now call myself one of the leading experts on Patagonia in the German-speaking world.

When traveling, I am always on the lookout for the perfect photo motif and am happy to carry my entire camera equipment up a mountain. My specialties are atmospheric landscape shots and captivating animal portraits. My favorite photographic toy is the ND-filter, as you can conjure up great effects with little effort.

When I’m not traveling or have my camera at the ready, I like to spend time with my horse and my dog, read a good book or do sport. And just by the way: I’m most likely to be bribed with a good bottle of red wine or delicious chocolate 🙂

By the way, I’m not a selfie queen and I’m not into pastel-colored Instagram filters. If you want to work with me, don’t expect posed pictures in summer dresses or fancy poses.

I write authentic and carefully researched travel reports for my readers, peppered with high-quality and slightly edited images. Unadulterated and individual travel experiences that inspire imitation, not an embellished make-believe world for social media, are the focus of my blog.

My co-authors photographers

I am delighted to be able to count on the support of my great co-authors and photographers. The imprintmytravel.com team also consists of:

Philipp Alexander – Loves street photography and good coffee

My brother and co-author Philipp is a coffee lover and amateur photographer who earns his living as an online entrepreneur. He is therefore also responsible for the technical handling and SEO optimization of this blog. For a perfect snapshot, he sometimes risks almost being run over by a car.

His most exotic travel destination so far has been Indonesia, but he has had the best time so far during his three-month tour of South America in Brazil. Another trip to Asia is planned for the future. Until then, Philipp wants to get to know Eastern Europe better and regularly reports on his city trips on this page.

The history of “Imprintmytravel”

Travel and photography are my two passions and at some point this blog was born. This site was originally intended as a private platform to help me share the impressions, experiences and photos of my numerous trips with friends, acquaintances and my family.

In the meantime, however, this site has grown considerably and has developed into a professional travel blog with a focus on adventure trips and photography! Even though I didn’t think it was possible at the beginning, Imprintmytravel is now one of the leading Austrian travel blogs and receives a lot of visitors every month.

As the number of visitors increased, so did the demands I place on myself, which is why I am constantly working to improve and update my content and regularly provide you with exciting and, above all, helpful content.

By the way, I travel the world from my home base in Vienna. That’s why you’ll not only find tips on backpacking trips and long-term travel, as I did on my trip to New Zealand, but also lots of helpful information on city breaks and round trips that fit into the time budget of an average full-time employee. And, of course, I always have insider tips for my beautiful hometown.

As a passionate photographer, I regularly supplement my reports with tips for better travel photos, easy-to-understand photography tutorials, recommendations for your photo equipment and also tell you about the best photo spots in my travel destinations.

I hope you can find lots of inspiration and helpful tips for your next trip here!

If you’re interested in where we’ve been, you can find all the countries Philipp I have traveled to on this map:

As you can see, we have both traveled extensively in recent years, especially to the American continents. In the future, we will focus more on Africa and Asia. We broke the 50-country barrier with Iceland in August 2017. Now we are only missing 139 official countries to complete the list 😉

To keep in touch, also follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram.

By the way! By the way! I also let other travelers have their say here from time to time. Feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions or want to make a great suggestion for a guest post. Just send me an e-mail and we’ll chat about it.

There was something else… the affiliate link thing!

I’d also like to briefly address the topic of affiliate links, as it seems to be becoming more and more of a point of discussion. Affiliate links generally refer to links to products, i.e. product recommendations on this site. If you make a purchase via my site, I will receive a small commission as a thank you for the recommendation. Of course nothing changes for you, you pay the normal price for the product of your choice and have no additional costs or disadvantages to fear.

I am very open about affiliate links because they allow me to keep the blog running and keep improving it. As trust and credibility are important to me, it is particularly important to me to only recommend products that I use myself or in which I see a meaningful benefit for my readers. My opinion is not for sale and I wouldn’t recommend a product just because it makes a lot of money.

Authenticity is the highest good for a successful travel blog and I stick to that!

Of course, the products also have to fit in thematically with this site, so I mainly recommend travel guides and travel accessories, as well as photography equipment and I refer to the booking platforms for accommodation (e.g. Booking*, AirBnB*) and flights (e.g. Momondo*).

At this point it should be mentioned that there are also platforms that do not offer an affiliate program and that I still recommend to you if I am convinced and see added value for you!

The main aim of this blog is of course to provide you with exciting travel reports, useful tips and lots of insider knowledge for your next trip! You can easily recognize affiliate links by the trailing *.

A big THANK YOU at this point to everyone who supports me with a purchase via one of my links and makes it possible to run this blog! Lisa
